Traditionally and Historically Village houses in the White Villages of the Genal Valley are small, although many rared large families within. Dating back way further then the Moors, he Christians and others who conquered the area, these houses evolved one on top of the other as the generations passed through.
Every once in a while a little Gem appears, however this is a big little one... The long history of this property includes such uses as an Inn for mule traders passing through of old, and also as a village shop in more recent years. Joyfully the character of the property was never lost, it just evolved through time bringing us a magnificent specimen or window on Village life of many years past.
The property is actually three adjoining houses which have merged as one, and would ideally make an excellent location for a Youth Hostel, Walkers Inn etc; as the surrounding area is stunningly beautiful and virgining on a boom in Rural Tourism.
The Images below are a "warts and all" view around the property. Imagination and creativity would be required to undertake it as a project, but it has great possibilities and has the capacity for expansion (by nearly double its current size) and, if tastefully done could be a dominantly historic living specimen of the past, providing accommodation to those who would appreciate and love to experience the real Spain.
Buildings like these cannot be reproduced, but with creative flair and "not" an enormous amount of work, can be both rewarding and profitable....
Please don't ask us how many rooms, bathrooms etc; its unique, it's big an the layout and accommodation would be part of the fun in re distributing and designing the interior.....
( it may take some moments for the images to
load...below)
